Help us reach over one million students in the next 5 years.

Every gift counts.
We believe that education is one of the key solutions to fight ignorance and hatred against Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) communities, and to enlighten students of the many contributions made by APIDA individuals to our country. You can help make a difference.
All proceeds go toward creating free APIDA history curriculum, professional development, and resources for educators and students. With your help, we can ensure that future generations have access to inclusive curricula.
Together, we can create a more just and equitable society.

Fighting to Belong!
In collaboration with LAAUNCH, TAAF, and Third State Books, The Asian American Education Project (AAEdu) is proud to present Fighting to Belong! Vol. 1 and the online companion curriculum guide. Fighting to Belong! is a three-part comic book series for middle grade readers (ages 8-13). It tells the story of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) history in a format that is appealing and accessible to them. This first installment follows a group of friends who embark on a journey to witness firsthand key events in APIDA history, from the Manila Men to the Gold Rush. This short, fantastic, and fast-paced graphic novel will fill in that missing piece, providing readers a living history of APIDA.
In 2009, Stewart Kwoh, Founder and President Emeritus of Asian Americans Advancing Justice - SoCal (then the Asian Pacific American Legal Center of Southern California (APALC), instructor at UCLA Asian American Studies Center and UCLA Law School, and Russell C Leong adjunct professor at UCLA Asian American Studies Center jointly edited and published Untold Civil Rights Stories – Asian Americans Speak Out for Justice which was the first national guide of its kind for high school students, teachers, and communities. The main purpose of the book is to identify and honor individuals of Asian Pacific descent who were, and are, heroes in the struggle for civil rights and social justice. In 2015, Patricia Kwoh led a team of curriculum developers to create the online K-12 curriculum for the Untold Civil Rights Stories.
Asian Americans is a five-hour PBS documentary film series that delivers a bold, fresh perspective on a history that matters today, more than ever. As America becomes more diverse, and more divided while facing unimaginable challenges, how do we move forward together? Told through intimate personal stories, the series casts a new lens on U.S. history and the ongoing role that Asian Americans have played. The Asian American Education Project (AAEdu) was engaged as engagement and education partners to produce 36 lesson plans based on the stories and topics that took place from the 1850s to 2000s in Asian Americans, for PBS LearningMedia.
